As a matter of fact, Sanskrit is not the language of the Brahmans. It was the different tongue (dialect) of the Thamizh people in the Northern Province, about which the Thamizh people were not sentient with, in the beginning. Indian government has endowed a large sum of money on the archeological research in the Indian Ocean
